Former corporator Rajashree Kale, who has been following up on the project, visited the PMC office on Wednesday where sitting corporator Rohini Chimte and the contractor were present.<br/><br/>An argument broke out between Kale and Chimte regarding the execution of the remaining work, which soon turned into a heated exchange with allegations and counter-allegations.<br/><br/>Kale alleged that the project was being deliberately stalled due to commission demands. She claimed that despite the project nearing completion, attempts were being made to delay the work over “percentage” issues, and that pressure was being exerted on the contractor to halt work until the alleged payment was made.<br/><br/>Chimte, however, denied the allegations, stating that the disagreement was over pending work related to the compound wall.
